Deadly Nadder Plushie by Skylanth Deadly Nadder Plushie by Skylanth
Here's a plushie of a Deadly Nadder from the movie How To Train Your Dragon. Made for a commission!

Well, the shape of the head isn't quite right, not to mention that a Nadder's teeth still show if its mouth is closed, but I think I got close enough for a toy that is going to be given to a 2 year old...So of course no wire in this one, and all the details are securely sewn down.

A bit of a challenge to make, but it got it right on the first try, so I'm happy with it!

Sorry for the poor picture quality, my camera is apparently not what it once was.

Awesome! If you ever make another, I'd be happy to take it off your hands. I love Deadly Nadders. Any idea how I can make a silver Grapple Grounder with a blue underbelly? That would be my dream!

How can you make a silver and blue grapple grounder? I suppose the first step is to get silver and blue fabric. The second step may be to look up a pattern for a stuffed Chinese dragon and figure out how to incorporate wings into it. Perhaps look at my Toothless pattern for inspiration.

This is homemade? Wow! Do you have a pattern for it?

This is homemade, just like apple pie. Yeah, I made a pattern for it, but it's just a modified pattern based on my typical dragon pattern (you can see lots of those in my gallery). Mostly just chopped off the front legs and took off the toes on the back feet, replacing them with felt claws.

You mean to say that you wonder what type of fabric I used? I used anti-pill fleece fabric and polyester felt. Hope that helped!

Thanks! I used polar fleece fabric and a sort of felt that's stiffened, somehow. Took me about 3 or 4 hours, I think. I was having so much fun, I wasn't paying attention. :P

Yeah, tell me about it. It wasn't like it was that hard to make, I'm sure professional plushie makers could crank out some nice official ones if the marketing team had bothered. But hey, now it's up to us! Thanks for your praise.
